The speed of the Advance Vande Bharat Express train will be 200 kmph maximum as compared to 180 kmph. Also, the first batch of coaches of this advanced version will be ready in 15 to 16 months.
Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav on Tuesday (October 4, 2022) claimed that the advanced Vande Bharat Express train is capable of running at a maximum speed of 200kmph. He said these things in Destination Marathwada, an event organized by Chamber of Marathwada Institute and Agriculture in Aurangabad. At the same time, the travel time of Mumbai-Gandhinagar Vande Bharat Express has been revised.
According to a report in PTI, the minister said that in the coming years, about 1,600 coaches will be manufactured by the Marathwada Rail Coach Factory in Latur, Madhya Maharashtra , for the advanced version of the Vande Bharat Express train , each of which will be of one coach. The cost will be around Rs 8 crore to 9 crore. The minister informed that the coach of the next version Vande Bharat train will be made in Marathwada.
The project will create opportunities for companies located within a radius of 400 km to 500 km. Vaishnav further said that the speed of the Advance Vande Bharat Express train will be 200 kmph maximum as compared to 180 kmph. Also, the first batch of coaches of this advanced version will be ready in 15 to 16 months.
Giving details about the challenges of semi high speed train, the Minister said that we have been able to bring down its vice level from 60 to 65 decibels, which is less than 85-90 decibels of an aircraft.
Rails being laid every day 12 km per day
The Railway Minister further said that the pace of laying of rail tracks has increased since 2014. It has increased to 12 km per day, which was earlier 4 km per day. However, the government wants to increase this speed to 20 km per day. He said that Aurangabad will get 5G internet facility before March 31, 2023. Vaishnav said that Aurangabad Industrial City (AURIC) will be projected as an investment destination by the Ministry of Railways.
Revision of travel time of Mumbai-Gandhinagar Vande Bharat Express
The Western Railway (WR) zone of Indian Railways has further reduced the travel time of the newly introduced Vande Bharat Superfast Express train from today. According to a memorandum issued by Western Railway, Vande Bharat Superfast Express will take five minutes less to cover the distance from Mumbai Central to Gandhinagar and will reach Gandhinagar to Mumbai Central 20 minutes earlier.
