Vande Bharat Express will be operated from Varanasi, the birthplace of Rani Laxmibai of Jhansi, to her birthplace. Railways has prepared the outline for this.
Vande Bharat Train: Vande Bharat Express train is being flagged off continuously while expanding the rail network across the country. Efforts are being made to take the passengers to their destination as soon as possible through this semi-high speed train. Now this train will be run from Varanasi, the birthplace of the heroine Rani Laxmibai, to Jhansi, the birthplace.
Its outline has been prepared by the Railways and if everything is completed on time, then Vande Bharat will start running on this track from 13th November i.e. Diwali. Its route will be from Varanasi via Prayagraj to Chitrakoot and Jhansi. There will be direct connectivity from Kashi to Bundelkhand through this train.
Connectivity of Kashi to Bundelkhand
In the proposal prepared by North Central Railway, it has been stated that Varanasi was the birthplace of Queen Manikarnika of Jhansi and after that her marriage took place in Jhansi, hence the train should be operated between these two places. This will improve the connectivity of Kashi to Bundelkhand. It is being told that PM Modi can flag off this train. By Diwali, 8 new Vande Bharats are going to be gifted to the countrymen, out of which this route can also be one.
Religious tourism will get a boost
This train from Varanasi to Jhansi is being started with the aim of promoting religious and historical tourism. Varanasi is a religious city and the journey from here to Jhansi will go from a religious city to a historical city. Chitrakoot also falls between these two which is associated with Lord Rama. This is the reason that running trains on this route will boost tourism.
How many hours will the journey take?
Currently, Bundelkhand Express is operated from Banaras to Jhansi. Through this train, passengers can reach Jhansi in about 12 to 13 hours. Whereas if this journey is done through Vande Bharat Express, then it can be completed comfortably in 6 and a half to 7 hours. In this way the travel time will be significantly reduced and passengers will be able to reach their destination quickly.
