Vodafone Idea : There is good news for Vodafone Idea customers. Vodafone Idea (Vi) is preparing to launch its 5G mobile broadband service in March 2025. According to a report, Vi can keep its plans about 15% cheaper than Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel. In the initial phase, 5G service will start in priority circles first

Dealer Commissions and Promotions

According to the report, Vi may increase dealer commission and promotional expenses in the coming months to attract high-value 5G prepaid users from Jio and Airtel. In the financial year 2023-24, Vi spent ₹3,583 crore as dealer commission, which is a higher percentage (8.4%) than Jio (₹3,000 crore) and Airtel (₹6,000 crore).

5G infrastructure

Vi has recently signed deals worth $3.6 billion with Nokia, Ericsson and Samsung. The company is aiming to set up 75,000 5G sites in the next three years.
