The Y55s is Vivo’s first smartphone to date with a 6,000mAh battery.
Vivo Y55s with model number V2164A has quietly launched in China. The handset was recently spotted with TENAA certification and China Telecom’s product library. The Y55s is yet another affordable priced 5G smartphone from the brand.
Vivo Y55s has a dewdrop notch screen, whose size is 6.58 inches. The phone has an LCD panel that supports 1080 x 2408 pixels Full HD+ resolution and 60Hz refresh rate. The Y55s is Vivo’s first smartphone to date with a 6,000mAh battery. An 18 W fast charger is also provided in the phone.
Specification of Vivo Y55s
Vivo Y55s is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 700 and 8GB of RAM. The device has 128GB UFS 2.1 storage. Android 11 and OriginOS 1.0 come pre-installed on the smartphone. The Chinese company is offering 4GB of extended RAM on the Y55s. The Y55s packs an 8MP selfie camera with f/1.8 aperture for video calls and selfies.
On the back side of the phone, a 50MP primary camera with f/1.8 aperture and a 2MP macro camera with f/2.4 aperture have been given. The Vivo Y55s comes in a single variant that offers 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Its price has been kept around 20 thousand rupees.
More phones will be launched soon
In related news, Vivo has a few other Y-series phones for the Chinese market. Vivo V2140A and V2140A were recently leaked in TENAA with all the specifications. Rumors have it that these phones will launch as Vivo Y10 and Vivo Y32.
Vivo Y33s 5G is another Y-lineup that is expected to be officially launched. So far, it has only appeared on the 3C certification site. Vivo Y55s has been launched in Ceramic Black, Mirror Lake Blue and Sakura Pink color options. The date for the first sale of the Y55s for China is yet to be confirmed.
