The rainy season is going to continue till August 9. The western end of the Monsoon Trough is running close to the foothills of the Himalayas and extends 3.1 km south-east across the northeast Bay of Bengal. Due to this, it will continue to rain in UP for the next 5 days. Today on Friday, heavy rain alert has been issued in more than 12 districts. In the same 36 districts, it may rain with strong winds.
According to the UP Meteorological Department, heavy rains are expected in about 20 districts belonging to West UP and Bundelkhand till Sunday. Moderate to heavy rain is expected in many districts of Bundelkhand and Agra divisions on Friday. There may be movement of clouds in Lucknow and surrounding districts. Light drizzle may occur at some places, but there will be no heavy rain. At the same time, there are chances of light to moderate rains at some places in eastern Uttar Pradesh. It may rain with lightning and thunder.

The UP Meteorological Department has issued a warning of heavy rain in Mathura, Agra, Hathras, Firozabad, Jalaun, Jhansi, Lalitpur, Mahoba, Hamirpur, Banda and Chitrakoot on Friday. Same Saharanpur, Shamli, Muzaffarnagar, Baghpat, Meerut, Ghaziabad, Light to moderate rain alert has been issued in Gautam Buddha Nagar, Bulandshahr, Aligarh, Hapur, Bijnor, Moradabad, Rampur, Sambhal, Kasganj, Etah, Mainpuri, Etawah, Kanpur Nagar, Kanpur Dehat, Fatehpur, Kaushambi, Prayagraj and Mirzapur.

In Lucknow, on Friday, the maximum temperature of Lucknow is forecast to be 35 degree Celsius while the minimum temperature is expected to be 26 degree Celsius.
Barabanki, Hardoi, Kanpur, Etawah, Lakhimpur Kheri, Gorakhpur, Varanasi, Ballia, Bahraich, Prayagraj, Fatehpur, Banda, Sultanpur, Ayodhya, Fursatganj, Gorakhpur, Fatehgarh, Basti, Jhansi and Hamirpur maximum temperature of 34 to 35 degree Celsius. The forecast is to stay in the middle.
Bareilly, Shahjahanpur, Moradabad, Muzaffarnagar, Meerut, Agra, Aligarh, and Bulandshahr are forecast to have maximum temperatures ranging between 32°C to 33°C.
In districts like Ghaziabad and Noida, the maximum temperature is expected to be between 31 to 34 degree Celsius. The maximum temperature in Mathura and Chitrakoot may remain between 33°C to 36°C.
