More than 80 lakh Indian users’ accounts have been banned within a month by the popular instant messaging platform WhatsApp. A new report has revealed that this data is of accounts banned between August 1 and August 31 last year. The company continues to ban accounts for different reasons.
A report shared by Meta states that action is taken on accounts that have been involved in scam and fraud activities. The company identifies Indian users through the country code +91 in their phone number. If you are also involved in some activities that you should not do in the app, then your account can also be banned.
