WhatsApp disappearing voice messages
This new feature allows voice messages to be sent once for viewing. This feature works similarly to single view for photos and videos. When you send a one-time voice message to someone, the receiver can only hear it once. After this, the message will disappear automatically. The recipient cannot save the voice message. The new WhatsApp feature is still in development, but it is available to select beta testers.
The feature is still under development, but you can try it by downloading the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.23.22.4 update from the Google Play Store and the WhatsApp beta for iOS 23.21.1.73 update from the TestFlight app.
If you are a beta tester then you can follow these steps to use-
– Open the WhatsApp chat you want to send a message to.
– Record voice message by tapping the microphone button.
– After the recording is complete, you will see the View Once icon. Click on it.
– Your voice message is now set for one viewing. The receiver can listen to the message only once and then it will disappear automatically.
Coming soon for everyone
View Once mode for voice messages is only available to select beta testers. So, if you are not in the beta program, you are still not allowed to use this feature. WhatsApp is planning to release this feature for all users soon.
