WhatsApp is discontinuing support for these iOS versions
According to the notification, WhatsApp will stop support for versions prior to iOS 15. This means that WhatsApp will not work on iPhones running on iOS 15 or older versions. This change will be effective from May 5, 2025.
Changes from May 5
Currently WhatsApp supports iOS 12 or newer versions. But from May 5, the platform will only support iPhones running on iOS 15.1 or newer.
What you can do
There are a few things you can try. First, upgrade your iPhone to the latest iOS version available. For example, if your device supports iOS 15.1 and you are still using iOS 15 or older, you can update it and continue using WhatsApp even after May 5, 2025.
