WhatsApp has announced the rollout of its new archived chat settings on Tuesday. This feature will allow users to keep their archived chats mute even when a new message is received in the archived message thread. Earlier it used to be that as soon as a new message came in the archive chat, it would get unarchived. This new feature will give WhatsApp users more control over their inbox and options to manage archived chat folders. WhatsApp has officially released this feature, according to a statement, many users are demanding that when a new message arrives, the archived chat comes in the main chat list, while it should be in the archive folder itself.
The new archive chat settings mean that any new messages in the archived chat will remain in the archived chat folder. It won’t appear in the main chat list. If a user unarchives a conversation manually, the chat will appear in the archive folder. You can disable the new settings by disabling the Keep Chats Archived option from the Chat Settings menu on the app.

The WhatsApp official said in a statement that we know that everything does not always need to be your front and center. We want to ensure that there is privacy and security on WhatsApp where you can talk to the people who matter to you and where you can control your messages.
Let us tell you that WhatsApp has been testing the archive chat feature for a few years now. In the year 2019, this feature was seen on the beta version but later it was withdrawn. This feature reappeared last year. However, now it has been rolled out to all.
