At the same time, many liquor shops are also present in the city where the maximum crowd of people is seen. But recently a news has come out in which it is being told that the decision to close many liquor shops present in the city has been taken by the Excise Department.
Indore Wine Shops: 146 shops will be closed
Actually, the Excise Department has decided to close more than 146 wine shops out of all these shops. There are 18 such bar shops whose place will be changed. This decision has been taken under the Excise Policy 2023-24. The special thing is that the place of liquor shops present within 100 meters radius of school, college and religious places will be changed.
18 shops will be replaced
According to information, a process has been started to allot new licenses to 173 composer shops. Apart from this, under the new policy that has come, 18 shops have also been identified, which are present within 100 meters of school, college and religious places. Earlier these shops were kept away from the radius of 50 meters but now it will be changed. 146 shops will be closed on 31st March.
This is because the Madhya Pradesh government has decided not to renew the license or give them a new license. However, those who have license, their bars and shops will remain operational. Apart from this, 25 groups will be allotted through lottery. E-auction will be done for the shops which will be left after license renewal and lottery system. For this, the process has been started from March 7, which will continue till March 10 at 3 pm.
