Governor Gurmeet Singh has declared November 1 as a public holiday for women employees in government, non-government offices and educational institutions. Secretary Vinod Kumar Suman has also issued orders for this on Tuesday afternoon. In the order issued by Secretary Vinod Kumar Suman, it has been said that “Women employees working in government / non-government offices / educational institutions / government establishments under the Governor, Uttarakhand state will be invited across the state for the festival of Karva Chauth on 01-11-2023 (Wednesday). We gladly approve of declaring 2017 as a public holiday.
