Infosys has informed its employees that if they have to work from home now, then they will have to give this information and take approval. Even disciplinary action can be taken against those who do not do so. However, Infosys has issued this decree for its US and Canadian employees. The company has said that going forward, the employees will not be able to get the facility of work from home.
This order came for these employees
Infosys is headquartered in Bangalore and according to the Times of India report, if employees want to do remote work, they will have to take special permission for it. Infosys has also warned the employees that the company will take disciplinary action against those who do not work according to the new rules of work from home. The company has issued this decree for the employees of America and Canada, which are 30 thousand employees out of the total workforce. That is, at present this rule is not applicable to the employees working in India.
What are the rules for the employees of India
At present, there is no such rule for the employees of Infosys in India and they continue to have the facility to work from home. It is worth mentioning that in November 2022, the company had started a three-phase plan to call the employees back to work. Apart from this, Infosys co-founder Narayana Murthy had said that even young people should not request for work from home. Also, he believes that both ethics and laziness should be kept separate.
