TCS: Due to the Corona epidemic, many small and big companies have given work from home facility to their employees. However, now that the situation is almost back to normal, many companies are asking their employees to work from office. In addition, many companies have started adopting hybrid culture.
In this episode, IT sector giant TCS has given a warning to its 5 lakh employees working from home to report to the office immediately. The company recently said that they will take strict action against those employees who do not follow the company’s order to work from office.
Infosys gave work from home facility to all employees
Unlike TCS, another IT giant Infosys has given work from home facility to all its employees. Infosys has adopted a flexible “hybrid” work model amid the pandemic. Under this model, employees have been given the flexibility to choose between working from home or office, depending on the prevailing circumstances.
Infosys CEO Salil Parekh spoke on the importance of flexibility and social capital in a virtual conference. He said that Infosys aims to build social capital by gradually resuming work from the office as the Covid situation improves. The exact decision on this is yet to be taken, but Infosys understands the importance of social connections along with remote work.
Parekh said the company’s approach to work culture would depend on the situation, but would have flexibility. Infosys aims to establish a hybrid work model that enables employees to work from different locations at different times.
