The number one position in the Indian smartphone market, Xiaomi is now eyeing feature phone users. China’s phone maker is preparing to bring a smartphone that is cheaper in price and Indian customers using feature phones can also buy it. According to media reports, this was revealed by Xiaomi’s founder and president Li Jun during the announcement of the third quarter financial results.
Xiaomi captures more than 26% market In the
third quarter results, the company quoted Canalys report as saying that Xiaomi has a 26.1 percent share in India’s smartphone market by shipment. Li Jun said, ‘We are number one in the Indian market. But a lot more remains to be done. There is a lot of growth in India’s feature phone segment. He said, “We need to make low-cost high-performance smartphones for Indian customers.”

This is the cheapest phone of
Xiaomi. Currently, the two cheapest phones of Xiaomi are Redmi 9A and Redmi 8A Dual. Both these smartphones are priced at Rs 6,999. The Redmi 9A gets a 6.53 inch display, MediaTek Helio G25 processor, 13MP rear camera, 5MP front camera and 5000mAh battery. At the same time, the Redmi 8A Dual has a 6.22-inch display, Snapdragon 439 processor, 13MP + 2MP rear, 8MP front camera and 5000mAh battery.

Let the competition of cheap 4G smartphones tell that Indian telecom companies are competing to bring cheap 4G smartphones. According to the report, Reliance Jio will bring cheaper smartphones through partnership with Chinese brand Vivo.
