Tribeca Enterprises (Tribeca) and YouTube (Youtube) have announced ‘We are one: A Global Film Festival’, which will feature new and classic films from around the world. The event will run for 10 days from tomorrow with programming for Berlin International Film Festival, Sundance Film Festival, Sydney Film Festival, Tokyo International Film Festival, Toronto International Film Festival, Tribeca Film Festival, Venice Film Festival, New York Film Festival and Cannes Film.
Jane Rosenthal, co-founder and CEO of Tribeca Enterprises and Tribeca Film Festival, said in a press release, ‘We often use the film’s uniquely powerful role in motivating and uniting people between borders and differences to help the world Let’s talk about Right now everyone in the world needs to overcome this problem.
‘We are one: A Global Film Festival unites curators, artists and storytellers to provide entertainment and relief to audiences around the world. In working with our extraordinary festival partner and YouTube, we hope everyone gets a sense of how unique each festival is and appreciates the art and power of the film.
This programming will be available for free on YouTube, viewers will have the option to donate to the World Health Organization as well as the rest of the Relief Partner. ‘We are one: A Global Film Festival’ will start from 29 May and will run till 7 June.
Google CEO Sundar Pichai has also tweeted about this. Wrote, ‘Youtube will host the 10-day Digital Film Festival, which has been co-curated by more than 20 international films to help raise funds for the Kovid-19 relief effort. All programming will be free to audiences around the world. We are one.
