Youtuber Kamiya Jani: YouTuber Kamiya Jani has found it difficult to go to Shri Jagannath Temple. There seems to be a lot of controversy after his entry. Shri Jagannath Temple is present in Odisha, after the entry of YouTuber, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has raised the question as to how a person who promotes eating beef was allowed to enter the temple. Odisha BJP general secretary Jatin Mohanty has demanded the arrest of the YouTuber under section 295 of the Indian Penal Code for allegedly hurting the religious sentiments of crores of Hindus.

A video of Kamiya Jani is going viral on social media. In which she is seen inside the temple. Also in a video uploaded on his YouTube channel, Jani was seen interacting with bureaucrat-turned-politician VK Pandian, who is seen as the successor to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik. However, the opposition BJP objected to Jani’s entry into the temple and alleged that a video camera was used in the temple premises, which is banned by the Sri Jagannath Temple Administration
Regarding his entry, Mohanty said, “It has been learned that BJD leader VK Pandian, along with YouTuber Kamiya Jani, had made a video on tasting ‘Mahaprasad’ in Puri Jagannath temple. Earlier, Kamiya Jani had posted a video of him eating beef. “Those who eat beef are strictly prohibited from entering the Jagannath temple. We have requested that a case should be registered against them under 295 IPC for hurting the religious sentiments of a community.” If he is not arrested, we will approach the court.”

As the controversy escalated, Jani said in her Instagram story, ‘Being an Indian, my mission is to take Indian culture and heritage to the world. I have visited all the Jyotirlingas and Char Dhams of India and what a privilege it is. When I woke up, this strange article appeared in the newspaper in which my visit to Jagannath Temple was questioned. Not that anyone has contacted me, but I just want to clarify that I do not eat beef nor have I ever eaten beef. Jai Jagannath.”
