The employees hope that the government will consider giving DA arrears and find a solution soon. According to Shiv Gopal Mishra, Secretary (Staff Side) of the National Council of JCM, the council has placed a demand from the government but no solution has been found so far.
Let us tell you that the dearness allowance of central employees was increased by 28 percent from July 1 by the central government. Earlier, they were getting paid at the rate of 17 per cent. At the same time, in October 2021, it was increased to 3 percent and 31 percent. At the same time, in March 2022, once again the dearness allowance has been increased by 3 percent.
Central employees’ organizations are continuously pressurizing the government for arrears of 18 months. These people say that the ruling of the Supreme Court is that salary and allowance is the right of the employee. In this case, the employees can also get the benefit of 18 months arrears.
According to a rough estimate, the DA arrears of Level-1 employees range from Rs 11,880 to Rs 37,554. DA of Rs 1,44,200 to Rs 2,18,200 is drawn on employees at Level-13 (7th CPC Basic Pay Scale of Rs 1,23,100 to Rs 2,15,900) or Level-14 (Pay Scale). The amount of arrears will be different for different grades of employees.
