There is a separate Aadhar card for elders and separate Aadhar card for children. Children’s Aadhar card is of blue colour. It is made for children of 5 years or less.

Let us tell you that blue colored Aadhar card is made by UIDAI for children, which is also known as Bal Aadhar card. That is, the Aadhar card of newborn children is made through the birth discharge certificate or the Aadhar card of the parents.

It is made for children of 5 years or less and after 5 years it has to be updated again. That is, after 5 years it becomes invalid in a way.

If you do not update it again, then it also becomes inactive. When the child turns 15 years old, then the biometric update has to be done. For this you have to visit the nearest Aadhaar center.

How to get Blue Aadhar Card:

Take the child to the enrollment center. Here you have to fill and submit the enrollment form. Along with this, you will have to give your Aadhar card and number as documents.

It does not require biometric information. Only one photo is clicked. A message will come after document verification. Your child’s blue Aadhar card will be ready within 60 days.

Aadhar card will reach home:

After completing the Aadhaar generation process, check all the details properly once before submitting the form so that there is no mistake. You will be given an acknowledgment slip once the child’s Aadhar card is enrolled.

Keep this acknowledgment slip with you. The application number is given in this slip through which the Aadhaar status is tracked.
