After the withdrawal of the salary deduction of the employees, the airline had announced to give Group Medical Insurance to every employee and his family last day. Such employees will get the facility

This facility has been given by Air India with the objective of providing better medical facilities to the employees in the large network of hospitals across the country. According to the airline, the facility of Group Medical Insurance will be available to both permanent and fixed term contract employees and their dependents present in the country.

7 family members will be covered

An employee will have a sum insured of Rs 7.5 lakh in the group medical insurance given to the employees by the airline. A maximum of 7 members of a family can participate in this. These will include the employee’s spouse, three children and 2 parents/in-laws. Employees can use this insurance policy in case of any medical emergency.

ESOP option also given

Apart from the group medical insurance facility and salary deduction, Tata had recently talked about giving Air India employees a chance to become shareholder. Stock option (ESOP) will be given to the employees by the airline. Under this, employees will be able to become share holders of the company. The purpose of the company behind this process is to improve the performance of the employees.
