Airtel Payments Bank launches FD facility in partnership with IndusInd Bank, check interest rate

Airtel Payments Bank has partnered with IndusInd Bank to offer FD service to its customers. Customers can book multiple FDs for a fixed tenure of 1, 2 or 3 years.

Airtel Payments Bank has partnered with IndusInd Bank to offer FD service to its customers. Airtel Payments Bank savings account customers will get an interest rate of up to 6.5% per annum. Senior citizens will get an additional 0.5% on all fixed deposits.

Customers can book multiple FDs for a fixed tenure of 1, 2 or 3 years. Customers can break an FD before the maturity date through the Airtel Thanks app. No penalty or processing fee will be charged for premature withdrawal. Airtel Payments Bank said in a statement that the invested amount will be credited back to the linked account within minutes.

Airtel Payments Bank has a network of 500,000 bank points and its digital platforms spread across the country. Meanwhile, as on December 31, 2021, IndusInd Bank has 2,103 branches/banking outlets and 2,861 ATMs spread across 769 different locations in the country.

Rate of interest found in SBI

The country’s largest bank gives interest rates ranging from 2.9 percent to 5.5 percent to customers on making FD here. This interest rate is available on FDs with tenures ranging from 7 days to 10 years. On the other hand, bank senior citizens get an interest rate of about 0.5 percent i.e. 50 basis points higher than the common citizens.

Kotak Mahindra Bank 

According to the bank’s website, the bank is offering interest rates ranging from 2.5 percent to 5.60 percent to customers on FDs of 7 days to 10 years. Let us tell you that this interest rate is for FDs of less than 2 crores.

HDFC Bank Interest Rates-

The country’s largest private sector bank HDFC Bank has increased its FD rates here. Both the new ones have also been implemented from 6th April. The bank is offering an interest rate of about 2.50 percent to 5.60 percent on FDs of 7 days to 10 years. This interest rate is for the amount less than 2 crores.
