Airtel and Jio, the two major players in the market offer almost the same 1.5GB daily data plans but the benefits and offers differ. Let’s know which of the two plans is the best…

Jio 56 days plan

Jio offers a mid-term 1.5GB daily data prepaid plan. Users can get a prepaid plan that costs Rs 479 and offers 1.5GB/day for a validity period of 56 days. The plan comes with unlimited voice calls and 100 SMS/day as well as access to Jio applications. Jio applications include Jio Cinema, Jio TV and a few more.

Airtel 56 days plan

On the other hand, Airtel’s mid-term plan is similar to Jio in terms of price. Airtel offers a prepaid plan that costs Rs 479 and offers 1.5GB/day for a validity period of 56 days. This plan comes with unlimited voice calls and 100 SMS/day as well as the mobile edition Amazon Prime Video free trial and some other benefits.

Why Jio’s plan is great

Even though it may seem that the plans from both the telcos are priced the same, it is actually different as Jio’s 1.5GB plan comes under its JioMart Maha cashback offer which gives users 20% discount on the plan. Thus the prepaid plan of Jio is actually slightly cheaper than Airtel.
