However, during the lockdown, banks are open and banking operations are going on, but in the next month i.e. May 2020, banks will remain closed for a total of 13 days due to different holidays in different parts of the country. These 13 days also include Sunday and second Saturday holidays. In such a situation, if you have to deposit a check in the bank, get a new debit card or do any other banking related work, then you should leave the house for the branch only after seeing the list of banks’ leave. According to the RBI website, banks will remain closed due to several festivals including Labor Day, Buddha Purnima and Eid-ul-Fitr next month.
