Bullet Train in India: There has been a big update on the Bullet Train Project between Mumbai-Ahmedabad. Bullet train on this route will start running for common people from 2027.
Its first trial will be done in the year 2026 itself. Apart from this, Japan’s high-speed train Shinkansen (bullet train in India) is being molded according to Indian conditions for this ambitious ‘Bullet Train Project’ of India.
Train is being changed according to India
After changing the Shinkansen train, it will be sent for the bullet train project (Mumbai Ahmedabad Bullet Train). This train is being modified according to the temperature, dust and weight of India.
According to the news, National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) Managing Director Satish Agnihotri said that the project is ready to complete the 48-km stretch between Surat-Blimora in 2027.
Trial will be done one year in advance
The first trial of the project will be done a year ago. However, the project is stalled due to land acquisition issues in Maharashtra. Agnihotri said that we will get the E5 Shinkansen series trains currently running in Japan.
The first in the Bullet Train in India project, the E5 series train is a variant of the Japanese Shinkansen high-speed train manufactured by Hitachi and Kawasaki Heavy Industries.
320 kmph speed
This train is capable of running at a speed of 320 kmph and is 3.35 meters wide. The widest train among such trains is available only in countries like France and Germany.
According to sources, the Japanese are also working on the aspect that these trains should be able to carry the ‘Indian weight’, as the reason for the Japanese is less.
508 km distance will be completed in two hours
Bullet trains in India are expected to run at a speed of 320 kilometers per hour, so that they will cover a distance of 508 kilometers in about two hours. In comparison, at present, trains take seven hours to cover this distance while planes take around one hour.
