It is being told that EPFO will put the interest money in the account by June 30. More than 6 crore employees will get huge benefit from this. The EPFO has not yet officially announced the transfer of money, but in some media reports such a claim is being made.
For information, let us tell you that the government had announced to give 8.1 percent interest to PF employees for the financial year 2021-22. For the first time in 40 years, it has been announced to give such low interest. This also dealt a blow to the PF employees. The decision to give money was taken in the meeting of the Central Board of Trustees of EPFO.
At the same time, EPFO had sent money of 8.5 percent interest in the financial year 2019-2020. After this, only 8.5 percent interest was received in the fiscal year 2020-2021, while in 2018-19, EPFO gave 8.65 percent interest.
In the financial year 2017-18, 8.55 percent interest was received. In the financial year 2016-17, 8.65% interest was received and in the financial year 2015-16, 8.8% interest was received.
