There is a stream of teasers and leaks regarding the upcoming OnePlus 6. It is expected that the phone will be launched sometime before July. The leak in China is suggesting that the 64GB variant of the phone is going to be priced at roughly Rs. 34,200 (CNY 3,299), while the 128GB variant is expected to have a price tag of Rs. 39,300 (CNY 3,799), and the 256GB variant (top-end model) might be priced at roughly Rs. 45,600 (CNY 4,399). Pete Lau, OnePlus CEO also confirmed an Avengers themed OnePlus 6 variant and the 256GB variant.



It s also suggested by the leak that by late April, there could be an announcement regarding the phone. Meanwhile, there is a short teaser video which confirmed the name of OnePlus 6, the display notch and the Snapdragon 845 SoC. The listing of the phone on a Wi-Fi certification website stated that the phone will be powered by Android 8.1.0 Oreo out-of-the-box and will come with dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11ac. The phone will also get Qualcomm’s latest WCN3990 Wi-Fi modem, which further points to using of the Snapdragon 845 SoC.



The leaks further pointed to a cool feature that there is an Alert Slider on the side of the handsets, and OnePlus 6 users might be able to slide to focus with the Alert Slider. The reports did not make a mention whether; this will be for the front camera, the rear camera, or both. Pete Lau, CEO also confirmed that OnePlus 6 users might be able to ‘disable’ the notch on the phone. This is a similar feature to the recently launched Huawei P20. According to Lau, the notch-hiding feature in OnePlus 6 will be available after the release of the smartphone, in a software update.

Further, one more product is heard to be unveiled along with the OnePlus 6. OnePlus Bullets wireless, revealed by a Bluetooth certification listing, is a wireless headset along the lines of the Google Pixel Buds. Yet, it’s worth to point out that company has confirmed the new phone – OnePlus 6 will be retaining the 3.5mm headphone jack.
