Employees of non-executive cadre can be promoted from S-1 to S-10 grade, whereas in executive cadre, officers of E-1 to E-5 grade will be eligible for promotion.
Employees News. There is good news for thousands of SAIL Employees. Steel Authority of India Limited, the employees and officers working in SAIL’s Bokaro Steel Plant and other units are going to get the benefit of promotion soon, the process has been started for this. The same news is that after promotion, there may be a reshuffle in the department of many employees.
It is expected that the promotion order will be issued by June 30, 2022. SAIL HQ has started the process of evaluation of CCR of plant workers eligible for promotion and soon the file of selected employees will be sent to Vigilance Department for NOC. They will be promoted from their present grade to the new grade as soon as they get the final approval from the Vigilance Department.
It is believed that the employees of the non-executive cadre in the company can be promoted from S-1 to S-10 grade, while in the executive cadre, the officers of E-1 to E-5 grade will be eligible for promotion. About 2000 officers will be given promotion in other units of SAIL including BLL. Promotion will be given to every employee according to his criteria.
Apart from this, those officers who are working in the same post in E-1 to E-2 grade for 4-5 years, they will be given promotion on the basis of their departmental activities. Managers and above cadre officers will be kept under the ambit of interview for promotion.
For this, by the end of May, interview committee will be constituted and CGM, GM, besides officers of major unit will be appointed as members for promotion.
