The government has decided to increase the dearness allowance to 203 percent of the government employees of the state. This decision will be effective from January 1, 2022. Along with the working employees, pensioners will also get its benefit.
There is great news for the government employees of Bihar. The state government has decided to increase the Dearness Allowance (DA) of its employees by 203 percent. The benefit of this will also be given to the pensioner ex-employees of Bihar Government. This decision of the government will be applicable from January 1, 2022 .
This means that along with dearness allowance, arrears will also be paid. Thousands of working and retired employees will be benefited by this decision of Bihar government. Let us inform that the government employees of Bihar had been demanding to increase the dearness allowance for a long time. Now the government has accepted his demand.
According to the information, the government is going to give 203% dearness allowance on the salary of government employees of Bihar. Not only this, the government employees who have retired, their pension will also get its benefit.
The increased amount will be added to the pension. Orders related to this have been issued by the Finance Department on Wednesday. The increased amount of dearness allowance will be paid as arrears from January 1 this year. All those people who are getting the benefit of the sixth central pay scale will come under the ambit of this increase.
This order has been made by the state government in the light of the decision of the central government. The decision was taken by the Union Finance Ministry through an order on 7 April to give 203% dearness allowance to the central employees.
Earlier, the central government had decided to increase the dearness allowance from last November. It was effective from 1 July 2021. After the effect of that order, the dearness allowance was 196%. It has been increased by another 7% from April this year.
According to the order of the Finance Department, the payment of increased dearness allowance will be done in cash. The government has asked the Treasury officials that the increased amount should be paid immediately without waiting for the letter of claim assessment authority of the Accountant General or Finance Department.
Apart from the Bihar government, the employees of Patna High Court, Vidhan Sabha and Legislative Council will also get its benefit. However, a separate order will be issued for this.
