Hyundai Cars : Did Such a Comment, Users Said - Make it TATA The Company Apologized

Hyundai of South Korea, which sells the most cars in the Indian auto market after Maruti Suzuki, is in controversy.

The demand to boycott the company is trending on social media after a controversial post by the company’s Pakistan unit (Hyundai Pakistan) on Kashmir.

For multi-national companies, their business is everything. For them, the sentiments of the people of the country where they have to sell their units or products do not matter at all. Such cases related to this thinking of foreign companies often come to the fore. The latest case is related to the South Korean company Hyundai, whose controversial tweet by the Pakistani unit started demanding boycott of Hyundai in India.

Offensive remarks about Kashmir

The tweet by Hyundai’s Pakistan unit made very objectionable remarks about the independence of Kashmir. When it came out, it went far. When it was seen that the company had to pay to take it, then Hyundai (Pakistan) deleted the tweet which had gone viral in India. People of Indian origin living all over the world including India, expressing strong displeasure and objection to this action of Hyundai, asked to apologize directly and immediately.

‘I can’t even apologize’

In response, the company issued an official statement on Sunday evening. Due to this the mercury of the people has reached the seventh sky. Angered and furious, people on Twitter cursed Hyundai fiercely. A user wrote on Twitter that it seems that the time has come to call Hyundai TATA in India. At the same time, some said that instead of apologizing while condemning the tweet of the Pakistani unit, the unit of India is chanting a different melody.

Cleaning hyundai

The company has said that it has been doing business in India for the last 25 years and wholeheartedly respects the spirit of nationalism. The social media post associated with the company is against our commitment towards this great country. We will continue to make efforts for the betterment of this country and its people. After this statement, people got angry on the company.

Nothing to do with viral post: Hyundai

Following the boycott trend of Hyundai on Twitter, its Indian subsidiary issued a statement saying that it respects Indian nationalism. The company also termed India as the second home for the Hyundai brand after South Korea. Hyundai Motor India said in the statement that it has been committed to the Indian market for a long time. We are being linked to such posts, with which we have nothing to do. This is a blow to our service and unmatched commitment to a great country like India

The clarification came after this viral post

Actually a post was made on Saturday from a Twitter handle named as Hyundai Pakistan. In that post, it was written in favor of Pakistan’s stand on Kashmir. Although the handle is not verified, the post went viral on social media. Indian users did not like this, after which #BoycottHyundai started trending on many social media platforms.

Angered by the tweet of the company’s Pakistan unit, Indian netizens advised people to buy vehicles from indigenous brands Mahindra and Tata. Some said, let the market open and then tell you. An IAS officer has also given his response on this. Let us know what he wrote.

Before this, many companies, including Amazon, have hurt the sentiments of Indians by putting pictures of gods and goddesses on their footboards and washroom items. Let us tell you that this is not the first company which has to face anger over the alleged remarks against the sentiments of India.
