Railways adding special wagons to the locomotives of passenger trains
Let us tell you that the Coal Crisis is going on in the country at this time. These days there is not enough coal available in many power plants of the country to generate electricity. In such a situation, the Railways has taken the responsibility of filling the coal from the mines and transporting them to the power stations as soon as possible.
For this a large number of passenger trains have been canceled. Coal-carrying space wagons are being added to the engines of these trains and sent to power stations. On an average, 28,470 wagons of coal are being loaded daily by the Railways to meet the demand of power plants. A coal train usually has up to 84 wagons.
