Railway Minister told in Parliament that except 4 categories of Divyangjan, 11 categories of patients and students, there will be no concession on tickets in any other category.

75 percent for cancer patient and the person traveling with him and the same facility is available for Thalassemia and Heart patients also. There is a provision of 40 percent relaxation for men in all categories in senior citizens at the age of 60 years and above and 50 percent for women who are senior citizens of 58 years or more.
Up to 50 percent discount is also given to the President, Police Medal and Indian Awardees for Meritorious Services. In this way 53 types of exemption are given.
