Mumbai, ANI. Both the runways of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport in Maharashtra’s capital Mumbai will be closed from 11 am to 5 pm on May 10 for pre-monsoon maintenance and repair work. After that normal operations will resume. CSMIA gave this information on Monday.

According to news agency IANS, both the runways, RWY 14/32 and 09/27, will remain closed for all flight operations on May 10 between 11 am and 5 pm. CSMIA has advised all passengers to check the flight schedule of May 10 with their respective airlines to avoid any inconvenience.

Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport is said to be the second busiest airport after Delhi’s Indira Gandhi Airport.

It is worth noting that at Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport, there was an altercation between a woman and a male passenger on boarding the plane last week. There was a heated argument between the two.

After that the pilot refused to take the plane. The plane stood on the apron of the airport for about one and a half hours. Both the passengers were made to write an apology, then the plane took off from Varanasi to Mumbai.

The video of the incident on April 24 went viral. Indigo Airlines flight 6E5362 from Varanasi Airport takes off for Mumbai at 10:45 PM. In the viral video, a passenger named Pawan Pathak is telling that the plane was going from the apron to the runway, at the same time a male passenger asked the female passenger to sit on her seat to be slightly to the side.

On this both of them started quarreling. When the pilot came to know about this, he informed ATC and brought the aircraft back on the apron and parked it. Meanwhile, The pilot asked the two passengers to get off the plane, which further angered them.

The plane stood on the apron for a long time, due to which the passengers sitting in it also started getting angry. It is also seen in the video that the crew members present in the plane are celebrating the passengers.

Apologies were made to the female and male passengers who started the dispute. After this the aircraft could take off from Varanasi at 12:25 pm.
