New Rs 100 coin coming soon; All you need to know
Ministry of Finance has decided to introduce another new currency. This time it is a Rs 100 coin. Apart from this, the face of Rs 10 and Rs 5 coins will also change.
Government of India, in a notification said, “The ministry in exercise of the powers conferred by clauses (d) and (e) of sub-section (2) of section 24 of the Coinage Act, 2011 (11 of 2011), the Central Government, has decided to coined Rs 100 – which are presently distributed in notes form, and introduce Rs 10 and Rs 5 coins with new features at the Mint for issue under the authority of the Central Government to commemorate the occasion of Birth Centenary of Dr. M. S. Subbulakshmi and Dr. M.G. Ramachandran Birth Centenary.”
Rs 100 coin features:
This face of the coin shall bear the Lion Capitol of Ashoka Pillar in the centre with the legend Satyamev Jayate inscribed below, flanked on the left periphery with the word Bharat in Devnagari script and on the right periphery with the word India in English. It shall also bear the Rupee symbol “₹” and denominational value “100” in International Numerals below the Lion Capitol.
Recently on August 25, 2017, the Reserve Bank of India issued Rs 200 denomination banknotes in the Mahatma Gandhi (New) Series, bearing signature of Dr. Urjit R. Patel, Governor, Reserve Bank of India from select RBI offices, and some banks. RBI said, ”In India, we have currency denominations of Rs 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 500 and 2000. As such, in the lower end of the denomination series, Rs 200 is the missing one.” RBI will also soon come out with new Rs 50 bank notes. So far in coins, there were only Rs 1, 2, 5 and Rs 10 being distributed in India.

IN MY OPENION, NEW CURRENCY NOTE OF RS. 200 IS OK BUT THE COIN OF RS. 100 IS NOT BECAUSE WE CAN NOT CARRY NO. OF COINS IN OUR POCKET GENERALLY .
Two hundred rupees note in two or three colour is okay but the coin of 100 is not okay create problem to carry Rs.200 & Rs.300 coin is okay because if u carry 5 coins means u have Rs.1000 or 1500
Very nice
THE COIN OF RS. 100 IS NOT A GOOD IDEA ,BECAUSE NO ONE LIKE TO CARRY NO. OF COINS IN OUR POCKET GENERALLY .
While I agree with views, I feel that govt decided to mint 100 coins to keep them as monuments in respect to national legendary like Subhalaxmi a centenary year etc
its a very nice
Not a good idea at all.
A very bad idea indeed! If you purchase something and give even a Rs.20/- note, traders have no change to give and ask us to give exact change. So is the case while in public transport.
Only more harassment awaits the common man !
Rs.200 note is ok,but Rs.100 coin is not convenient to carry.and not practical
Are they mad??! 100/- rupee coin? Who will use that! What a waste of the taxpayer’s money. They should just change the face of the current 100/- rupee now and leave it as is. Such hare brained schemes are where our hard earned money goes.
Which actually people need is 1000 rs note, w/t which 2000 rs note can’t circulate freely. 500 rs note also not sufficient in the market.
200 note is ok, but 100 coin is Not easy to carry, its not a good idea, the coins which we have is sufficient and standard.
Uneducated people will melt it and will cause loss to the nation. However,
200 not is good idea but rs100 coin is not convenient to carry.
Converting paper currency into coins is a retrogarde measure by the Government. Paper currency was introduced with intent of convenience for carrying. More and more high denomination coins will be a suffering for common man. Coins up to Rs.10 only is ok. Beyond that it is pain staking. It would be wrong to assume that such measures will result in more digital transaxctions.
Coins upto Rs.10/- alright bigger coins harassment to public.Rs.200/-currency note is really useful.
Introduction of 100 rupee coin is not a good idea.
YES IT IS A GOOD IDEA. SOME CHANGES MAY TROUBLE US SOME TIME, LATER IT WILL GIVE GOOD RESULTS
Good
New Rs coin of 100 will not be practically feasible as carrying same is difficult.
For general public, not a good idea….very difficult to carry a big amount, while on move….how much weight, anyone can carry….A FOOLISH idea….
I would like to know why modi announced India is moving towards cashless economy then introduce 200 Rs note and 100 Rs coin…. something is wrong with the government….
100/Rs COIN IS A VERY BAD IDEA. IT WILL NOT BE SUCCESFUL AT ALL.PLEASE WITHDRAW IT IMMEDIATELY. THINK TWICE.GOD BLESS YOU.INDIA IS GREAT.
No it not good as point of carry.
Very bad idea
This is very impractical. Carrying cost is difficult.200 notes is ok
After 500.new note Rs 200. introduced is o k .No body is accepting even Rs 10. coin to carry.Once again Introduction 100.coin is mere waste reason coin is not transact no use of introduction. Please go through history.
Digitalisation ka zamana he..And we all are talking about the coins and notes..People should move on yaar come on….
Now a days up to 10 rupees Coin is Available. Next Coin should have 20 rupees. But it is Just like Stairs jump to bring Coin of 100 rupees.
Rs200 note is good option to introduce in the market. It is well and more convenient to circulate and well versed for the user’s.
Issue of Rs 200 notes is an excellent decision. Coin of Rs100 may be issued in limited quantity. It is difficult to hold in the pocket.
Good move of RBI
Rs. 200 note is good option to introduce in the market but coin of Rs. 100 is not a good option as it very difficult to carry in the pocket. Please introduce the Rs. 1000 note as was earlier.
I wants 100 – Rs new coin
Is this a sensible thing? Already to get a change of Rs 2000/- is a havoc in this country. The newly issued notes 500 can not suffice 2000 notes as a change. Now to get the change you will carry a bag to collect 100 Rs coins and move forward. Instead this the government move should be to issue Rs 1000/- notes which will be the intermediate between 2000 Rs and 500 Rs notes that can ease transaction as well. Due to this sudden changes in notes coins already running coins of Rs 10 and 5 are in stress. People and banks are not accepting. Will a bank issue notes in favor of changeable coins? To make a change in design and new features in existing currency denominations was a smart move for the country and already got applause but these sudden changes in the form of denomination is really a stress for country.
Digital Transactions also was a smart move. But to go in a village to purchase vegetables would they understand your digital transaction system? Or they will simply give you in lieu of notes and coins? To take a ticket in a running bus would they give you a ticket with your cashless account or your notes and coins? We all educated sections of society we are already familiar with cashless transaction systems and came to know a lot of new things also but there are lot of to do activities that involve participation of notes and coins. We should take decisions considering all sections of society and our rural areas also.
its very nice’
Great Idea. Now after issueing this Rs 100/- coin, please demonetise Rs 100/- notes.
Not a good idea. Besides in terms of cost, it would be cheaper for paper currency rather than metallic currency. A Rs100 coin could be parted away for a Rs5 or Rs10 coin by mistake.
Not a good idea , unless d reasons for minting 10 rupee coins r convincing .
Not a good proposal . It is not known as to why d idea of releasing 100 rupee COINS has come n to what benefit of public or Govt.
Good But to carry in pocket or purse
Rs.200/- note is o. k. But to introduce Rs.100/- coin is not a good idea, because no one wants to carry heavy coins in pocket further bank may refuse to accept like Rs.10/-coin.
Coins of Rs 50 and 100 are absolutely not required. It is unnecessary to carry heavy coins in the pockets, even the wallets get damaged due to carrying heavy coins. It is really absurd and waste of time and mooney of public both. Only archaic advantage is that the coins can be buried in the ground and stock, unlike currency notes.
Since the time modi took on its been change of money and his foreign tours. He’s done shit for achche din. Criticised others for fuel prices while fuel prices have rocketed upwards since his government took charge. He’s a fraud masquerading as a prime minister.
Carrying Coins is a big pain. I wish all currency be in notes. It is easier to place in your purse and you do not feel the bulge when you sit down and coins are uncomfortable.
Please recall all the Rs.10 and Rs. 100 Coins from the market and let us not burden ourselves with unnecessary currency, since we already have Rs. 10 and Rs. 100 currency notes which are convenient for us to carry at present. The Central Government must be practical in their governance and not act on whims & fancies because some minister proposed it.
Not a good idea. It’s not easy to take care of a coin. Coins usually slips away easily and prone to loose. In my opinion its not idea
Fake news.
It seems Government is flooded with excess of money. There is already good amount of liquidity with the present circulation of currency. What is the need of more currency notes when we talk of digitisation. It is ridiculous. There must be some political interest and publicity behind this move.
It is not convenient to carry ₹100 coins.
When we are going cashless, any transaction above ₹100 should be encouraged to pay by digital mode. So even printing ₹200 notes is also waste of resources and time. Moreover the ATM MACHINES HAVE TO BE RECALIBRATED resulting in confusion and hardship to the general public
The 100 rupees note is a sign of things to come it decreases the value of the rupee sign of inflation once again the poor suffer it’s a shame when will the politicians work for the poor instead of just talking about it the all have a good thought(maybe) good word to get the votes but what’s important is the action do not see it shame
₹ 10 and ₹ 5 Coin is already a great stressful in present sceniorio Bank and people are reluctant to accept the Coins and very inconvenient to carry in pocket .₹100 coin introduction in market by Reserve Bank of India will be a great great painful process for any individual in our country , rather RBI should replace with Plastic currency notes as australian dollor. RBI should demonitize ₹2000 currency note .Let ₹500 CURRENCY BE THE HIGHEST CURRENCY NOTE IN THE INTEREST OF THE COUNTRY WHICH WILL HELP NATION IN CURBING BLACK MONEY TOO.
New Rs coin of 100 will not be practically feasible as carrying same is difficult.
Is this a sensible thing? Already to get a change of Rs 2000/- is a havoc in this country. The newly issued notes 500 can not suffice 2000 notes as a change. Now to get the change you will carry a bag to collect 100 Rs coins and move forward. In my opinion, coins above Rs 5 are not appropriate to continue. Paper notes up to Rs 5 may also go…. Jai Hind
Rs 2000 notes should stop to curb hoarding of money in cash (kala dhan)
Since we are swi to payment by card, we should have only have following in circulation:
Notes – Rs 500, 200, 100,
50 and 10
Coins – Rs 5, 2 and 1
Agree. with same answer, I wanted to say that.
no currency should be more 500 rs.government should also think about farmers.they pay alot to country but in return what they got…jai hind
Yeah I agree, that 2000notes must be waived out, only 20,50.100,500,200 rs notes must be in market. And all confusion regarding 1rs,5rs,10rs coins must be sort out
but should be Rs. 10 coins
Agree with Mr. Ashok Bhargava
Well said…..I agree
Well said Dr R k Sangwan
Well said Dr R k Sangwan …I agree
BJP is fail from every angle so he wanted to keep people’s mind diverting he geting bullshet plans
Not from every angle
Right choice
yaa nice, plz itraduce one purce also
100 R/s is good but not suitable for carry it.
Mr Sanjay Pande what you mean by good 100 rupee coin issuing by RBI not to keep and display in show show case it is for your daily use this is one type of harassment to the Public and to Bank employees practically no one will accept due to safety and heavy wight to carrying and it will be big headache in suburban public even ten rupees coin accumulating in from banks and blocked money transaction in banks. There is only an alternative to Modi Government need an another Demonetization then the public will accept this coin.I think this policy will be more benefit to West Bengal because ther will more Ghoni bag demand..
Mr Madhavankutty Madhavankutty is Right.
Sir
If you carry 100 Rupees more holes in your pockets
100 Rupees coin is not solution.
Keep 100 Rupees note is bettrr
yes you are right
Rs.100/- coin will not be difficult to carry because today nothing is cheap every thing you buy minimum you will end up paying Rs.25 so the life has become very expensive. People can carry Rs.100/- coins without any difficulties.
We have to carry rs. 100/- coins in the shoulder bag is it ease? you think, then ok.
It is good gesture to have Rs.100 coins. It is worth more than the paper currency. Also durable. But only thing that people keep it for keepsake. But I like it.
Bad decision to introduce ₹100/- in coins instead of notes.
Coins are heavy and cumbersome to carry around in pockets
Yes I do accept introducing Rs 100 coin is not good idea. Government has to take utmost measures to tackle the black money. Stopping Rs 1000 is not right measure. Still people can have 500 notes as black money
Go to barter system instead of Digital , demonetization , Rs 2/ Rs 5/ ( Not available ) still at banks offering Rs 2000/ and Rs 500/ notes ,
Now Rs 100/ coin ( is not the first time ,! ) what benefit , to curve black money.
We understand yours Plan , ( Rs 100 / Notes will not be available )
The cost of printing currency is high. Minting coin is cheaper. Also, paper notes have shorter life and gets wet or torn easily.. so replacement cost is also high.
Coins can last for hundreds of years.
Even so, RBI has not withdrawn Rs. 100/- paper notes. Coins will add to the convenience along with Rs. 200/- notes.
Next RBI should introduce plastic currencies.
What a silly thinking Mr Sam
Mr. KUTTY.
Mr. SAM IS PERFECTLY RIGHT.PLEASE STUDY THE COST OF PRINTING THE NOTES AND LIFE OF PAPER NOTES.
GOOD CURRENCY NOTES REFLECT THE COUNTRYS PRESTIGE ALSO.
DO YOU RECALL HOW TORN NOTES OF RS. 1., 2 AND Rs. 5 were in circulation during congress rule.
What about the security aspect. Currency notes have thread bear security checks. Inspite that lot many fake currency notes are getting circulated. Rs.100 coins carrying is not only inconvenient but also checking counterfeit coins will be another challenge. How many coins one can carry in his wallet? With the weight of coins kept in trouser pocket, the trouser will slip down. Perhaps this government is doing all new experiments on common man. Any how, the decision of circulating Rs.100 coins for day to day use seems to be not a wise decision.
” RBI should introduce plastic currencies”, Agree. Its a great idea.
The Rs. 200 note was long overdue, with the withdrawal of Rs.1000 notes and introduction of Rs. 2000 notes. This should have been done during the demonetization period.
The Rs. 100 coin is a bad idea! You cant buy small value things with it. Shopkeepers are not accepting Rs. 10 coins in Bangalore because the feel they are fake. There will be counterfeit Rs.100 coins soon as coins do not have scope for security features like notes.
Rs. 100 coins will be logical only if Rs. 50 and Rs.20 coins are introduced and coins of Rs. 2 and 1 are withdrawn, so that all prices are in multiples of Rs. 5 only.
The secretaries of the government is responsible for bringing any change in system. Can they carry 100rs coins for 1000rs.?then the public money is wasted for public to curse the centre, where onus lies with them, right?
Not a good idea. We should learn the lesson from failure of Ten rupee coin.
People don’t accept easily.
Any release of coins of denomination above rupees 5 is foolish and rubbish which would be difficult to carry and store. Also it would not be cost effective. S person travelling at wants to carry some money. His position would be precarious. We are in a Tughlak regime.
for liquidity preference Rs. 100 coins is completely wrong idea ,it is not easy to carry
Good Idea , control over duplicate currency.
When we are in era of digitization the decision of 100 Rs. coin will not be much fitting. we as nation will not be at necessary ease.
Hundred rupee paper note is always better than coin currency.
Bhai main to kha raha hun sab badal do dekha jayega. Gandhi ki photo hata k bjp wale apni apni photo lagwa le.
Sala aj tak pata nhi chala ki rs 10 coin kaun sahi kaun galat. Aur ab rs. K coin jhelo.
Chalo acha hai berojgaro ko kam to mila. Ab 100 rupaye k liye logo se bahes karne ka.
Sala waise bhi hum hindu bahut busy rhate hai. Har month koi na koi festiwal manane me. Aur rahi sahi kasar respected modiwa puri kar raha hai.
Lage raho bhai
Dear Concerned Authority,
I would like to bring into notice about certain facts.
1. Individuals Loosing coins is common, this shall definitely make sure that we loose Rs. 100 in a single shot.
2. What happens to people who have bought the Coin Collection from RBI. It seems an easy devaluation of the past selling from the Government. NOW FOR THIS QUESTION PLEASE DO NOT FIND ANY JUGAAD – THE PRINTS ARE DIFFERENT AND ALL.
TILL NOW WE HAVE SEEN ALL THE REPHRASING JUGADOOS
3. Any coins above Rs. 5 is a pain to carry in Pocket.
4. There are certain ways to avoid duplication. Coin is not a replacement.
5. Lastly, do think of the country as a whole. Rs. 100 coin shall be less acceptable resulting in the loss of implementation and wasting the TAX MONEY collected from us.
Please do consider all these issues.
Deciding on getting rs 100 coin Don’t serve any useful purpose. Notes are best
Definately It is not easy to Carry.
to promote cashless economy stop Rs 2000 note and supply less Rs 500 notes
higher value coin will be more prone to fake currency. i dont know who is responsible for such foolish idea. Later time they will come up that india has 100/- coin fake currency and again wasting money.
Public ka paisa luta raha hai. Chai bechte samay kitna tax diya isne , koi batayega.
This is bad decisions for coins of my country because in case no servings every place any condition so this totaly poor decisions of my country economy thoughtet people’s….
Firstly government should demonitise₹2000 & ,₹500 currency notes to curb Black money.I really appreciate respected Modijee’s vision. Bringing ₹100/- coins in time is very best. Our beloved P M always think about our golden country Bharat.
Modi ji indirectly giving pressure to all citizens to switch over digital payment.
Re 100 coined is next blunder of Modi govt
Market me 5 aur 10 k nakli sikke chal rahe hain. Aap farak nahi kar sakte . Kya 100 k sikke nakli nahi banege?
Note girte nahi hain aasani se jabki sikke jaldi hi gir sakte hain pocket se.
This is a good move. But now 2000 curreny should be stop
Let Rs.100. coins be commemorative coins. Don’t bring them into common circulation.
there is no meaning in releasing 100/- coin when .lots of 10/- coins are accumulating in banks. In fact rs. 10/- &rs. 5/- coins should also be discontinued and be collected back from the public and banks. as some one said keep only 2/- & 1/- coins in use rest all notes only,
A 100 Rupee coin a bad idea not at all lucrative very in convenient to use. The currency used be of Rupee 1000, 500, 200, 100, 50, 20 and 10 and coins of 5,2 and 1.
Guys, you should understand for the new India all the currency should be new and highly safe so this plan is being implemented slowly slowly… You won’t see after some years old currency…
Happened to visit South Korea where they have 100000W 50000W 20000W 10000W and Coins 5000W 2000W 1000W. Comparatively less value than INR.
But INR more less than USD!. So we too can have big money like in SK (as INR value going down day by day!!!) for local exchanges and let USD also there in market for big shopping! Why net banking when there is lot of misappropriation from many kinds of on line evil elements!
Of course, I am a common man with least transactions! And I welcome the new reformations by the govt.
This is not good because Rs.100/- coin is not easy to carry. Notes are better.
2000 even 500 rupees currency should be stop big transactions should be done by check or online payment module to control Black Money
Coin of Rs.100? Horrible dicesion of Modi Government. we may display inside socase only. Please release Rs.200 note as early as possible & print more Rs.500 note & less Rs.2000 note.
IT BECOME HEAVY IN POCKET
COIN OF 1 RUPEES IS NOT ACCEPTED BY BANKS, IT CREATE BIG PROBLEM IN MARKET MEANY SHOPKEEPER REJECT THIS COIN , PLZ TAKE STEP AT THIS PROBLEM.
Government already failure to recovery of”KALA DHAN ” and we the public suffered huge stress as well as government made a huge loss .Ultimately introducing of different currency also a childish nature of the officials. At present coins of .1 ,2,5 and 10 are available more than the requirement which became headache of the small retail business sector as neither bank nor mahajan accept those as payment. Now another headache 100Rs coin.Government became mad I think so.
I think it will increase inflation rate and reduce the value of les value. Currency.soon everything will be atleast 100rs.This is not going to help poor people at all
Bringing into circulation 100 rupees coin is another wasteful thinking and expenditure. Not at all convenient to handle. Ideally Notes of 500,200,100,50,20,10 and coins of Rs 10,5, 2, & 1 should only be in circulation and are most useful and can eradicate many ills.
For liquidity preference Rs. 100 coins is completely wrong idea ,it is not easy to carry.Another wrong descision
What are the advantages with coins except
Life span and cost
Its a big gate way to Pakisthan and Bangladesh to make and supply Duplicates. Also China is ready to supply for less price. For your kind notice now 10 Rupees Coins are not in public use and how you expect this 100 Coin comes to commen Man’s Hand. ?????
I don’t think there is any problem with 100₹ coins but paper money should also be there and coin should be such so that no one can make fake coins of that, I think that ₹2000&500 notes should not be stopped as they are easy to carry and in big transactions are very convenient.
Not correct & viable ..Coin must be 5,2 &1 is ok…
in my view we, citizens of india most of us travel daily by city bus or auto rickshaws and required small currencies like Rs.1,2,5 coins, so this should be continued for our daily life. as far as currency notes the government of india continue with new series of 10,20,50,100 and newly introduced 200 and 500 only. they can slowly stop printing 2000 currency notes. if a common loses one 2000 currency note it will be a shock as one fifth of his earning is gone. these small changes will be much helpful in respective markets like vegetable vendors, etc. hope everyone will accept.
I fully agree with Mr Swaminathan. Well said.
Take for example USA, world’s oldest democracy. As I travel regularly on account of work, almost anywhere when you withdraw (maximum limit per transaction is 400/800/1000) from ATM you get currency notes in denomination of USD$ 20 only. The maximum denomination in currency form is USD $100 only. If the government on one hand says go digital or cash less than introducing Rs.100 coin makes no sense. In fact if curbing black money, fighting corruption, tackling counterfeit money were main objectives, in my opinion DEMO was their best opportunity to abolish high denomination notes altogether where maximum denomination can be Rs.100 only.
in my opinion notes are better than coin.
Not a good idea for releasing Rs 200 coins. People will not accept it easily and also not comfortable.
no need of 100 & 10 rupees coins. people facing change problems and carrying problems. banks facing counting problems.
Please stop in 2000 Rs currencies.. Indian economics is very down. 500, 200 ,100 ,50 20,10, 5, 1. These are enough
I suggest we should have only have following in circulation:
Notes – Rs 2000, 500, 200, 100,
50, and 20
Coins – Rs 10, 5, 2 and 1
Nice suggestion !
not a good decision because it is very paid to carry and we may last the 100 rs coin in a single shot
it is not a good decision because people are not happy to carry 100 rs. coin with them becase they may lost in one shot
Coins should be introduced up to Rs. 25. I think this decision is not acceptable. Currency notes up to Rs. 1000 is enough.
It’s a new trial….. But think about past 10 RS coin …… I hope so about success of 100 coin
I not like this because coins are not a good solution to problem it is very difficult suppose we carry 10000 rs of 100 coins it’s a very big headec how can we handled heavy Weaighted coins ,
It’s a actual very poor and bad idea’s
Bad idea of introducing rs 100 coin. Ppl already suffering from rs 1 ,2,10 coins….
No one is agree to take these coins now a new coin of higher denomination will increase the confusion…..
Above 5 Rs coins are difficult to handle, due to it’s weight.
So it’s necessary that the currancy above Rs. 5 should be in paper from.
Yas you are right sir.
not required coin of 100 rs
BJP is enjoying thier rule at full. Keep playing coin n notes, real development is far away, just diverting people’s mind from the big issues. BJP can not be relevent.
We should be thankful to God that he has given us a PM who really works with wisdom. Modi is competent enough to know what to do and what not. Let him do his work without any criticism. God only sends a man to rule and he doesn’t come himself to rule. Modi is doing everything for the benefit of all.
God bless you with good vision.
MY MIND GREAT FULISH PERSON IN THIS WORLD.EITHER MAD.
Can you point out what good he has done for common people and people getting that benefit. He is working for 12 corporate so that he can survive for next term with help of money power of these corporate
It is very essential to keep Economic system away from funny drama. I think only a mad will accept 100 Rs Coin in his daily cash transactions. First of all we have to note fake coin making is very easy where segregation of fake and actual is very difficult. Circulation of 100 Rs Coin is nothing but a invitation of fake maker
The English used is atrocious. The language of money is English-wake up.
Very poor show.
We have to go cash less. If we have to make this 100% successful we have to see that there must not be any additional charges to any type of cashless transactions.
Above 5 rs , continuation of coins is wast . Because i think coins are not smooth to carry. JAY HIND
100 rs coin is not suitable for carrying. It wil be easy to lose or fall out. Having many coins inside a wallet wil bends all the cards including an atm card inside a wallet too for men. Coins value shouldn’t be high. Modi and his RBI puppets are brainless.
Two queries:
1. Why is there no image of the 100 rupee coin to accompany the article?
2. What is the significant advantage of a 100 rupee coin over a 100 rupee note?
No value for rs 100 if it is in coin form like rs. 10.

Many ideas
Need based actions.
Feel great factor of “I did first” is satisfied
Let us celebrate achievement
It’s a good decision for our country’s economy
High value coin or note is the best for black
Money like 2000 rs . In india minimum currency is 10 rs and maximum 1000,rs note and 1 to 5 rs coin is valuable.
Coin 1,2,5,8 and note 10,20,50,100,200,500,800 and 1000 rs for useful in india
unnecessary expenses being incurred on minting these coins, Instead circulate small denomination notes not more than Rs. 100/- with plastic coating. This will enhance the life of Currency notes and also it will be difficult to hoard large sums of money thus curbing the Black Money Generation. Currency notes of Rs. 500/- & 2000 should be discontinued.
Coin above Rs.5/- is difficult to carry. So the idea of Rs.100/- coin is not at all appreciable.
coin rupees 100? hahaha ! it means nothing will be less than Rs.100. i think it is a prior notice to devalued other existing denomination of coins.
