The new labor codes are related to Wage, Social Security, Industrial Relations and Occupational Safety. So it may be that from July 1, you will have to work longer in the office, but you can also get three days of weekly off. What is this new labor code and after its implementation what will change for the employed people, let us understand.

You will take very easily three days weekly off

After the implementation of the new labor code, those employed will have to go to the office only four days a week. They will get three days weekly off. However, you will have to work 12 hours in the office instead of 8 or 9 hours. According to the new law, any employee will have to work 48 hours a week. This means that you do not have to reduce the work, but instead of 5 days, you will have to go to the office for four days.

Apart from this, there will be another big change regarding the holidays. Earlier, it was necessary to work at least 240 days in a year to take long-term leave in any institution. But under the new labor code, you will be able to take long leave after working for 180 days (6 months).

In hand salary will come down

After the implementation of the new wage code, take home salary i.e. in hand salary will be less in your account than before. The government has made a provision in the new rule that the basic salary of any employee should be 50 percent or more of his total salary (CTC).

If your basic salary is higher, then PF contribution will increase. With this provision of the government, employees will get a hefty amount at the time of retirement. Along with this, Gratuity money will also be available more. This will make their future financially strong.

Full and final in two days

Regarding full and final settlement, it has been said that employees will be paid their salary within two days of leaving the job, dismissal, retrenchment and resignation from the company. At present, most of the rules are applicable on the payment and settlement of wages. However, this does not include resignation.

The right of women workers to work at night has been ensured with their consent.
