After the results of the assembly elections of five states, instead of increasing the rate of petrol and diesel, some cities are seeing a fall.
There has been no change in the rates of metro cities. The price is likely to drop further in the coming times.
After the election results of five states came out, petrol and diesel have become not expensive but cheap. This news may surprise you, but the reality is this, in some cities, the rate of petrol has come down by one rupee a liter.
In fact, in the midst of the ongoing war between the Russo-Ukraine War, the price of crude oil was increasing continuously.
Expected increase from 12 to 16 rupees
Amidst the rise in crude, experts were expecting an increase in the rate of petrol by Rs 12 to 16 per liter after the election. But now people are happy with the fall in prices. The price is likely to come down further in the coming times. In two days, crude has slipped from $139 per barrel to $108.7.
In which city the rate dropped by how much?
On Friday, the rate of petrol in Bhubaneswar came down from Rs 102.27 to Rs 101.81 per liter. In Jaipur, the rate has come down from Rs 108.07 to Rs 107.06 per liter. At the same time, diesel has come down by 91 paise to Rs 90.70. In Patna, the rate was seen on Friday morning from Rs 106.44 to Rs 105.90.
No change in metro cities
However, with a slight increase in the rate of petrol in Gurgaon, it has reached Rs 95.59 per liter. At the same time, the rate has increased to Rs 95.73 per liter in Noida.
There was no change in oil rates in metro cities. Rates in New Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Chennai and Bangalore remain at Rs 95.41, 104.67, 109.98, 91.43, and Rs 101.40 per liter respectively.
Rate can be reduced by 2 to 3 rupees
Arun Kumar Singh, chairman and MD of BPCL, which runs the largest refinery, said in a conversation with associate website Zee Business that the price of crude oil can come below $ 100 in the next 2 weeks.
He also expressed the hope that crude oil may come to the level of $ 90 per barrel. If this happens, then the rate of petrol and diesel can be further reduced by 2 to 3 rupees per liter.
