The Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) has reduced the annual interest on deposits from 8.5 percent to 8.1 percent for the financial year 2021-22. This interest money will soon be transferred to the account of EPF account holders. Due to which about 6 crore account holders of EPFO will get benefit.
Although the interest amount is transferred to the accounts around Diwali, but this time it will be given to the account holders in advance after reducing the interest and getting permission soon from the ministry. This is the lowest interest rate on PF since 1977-78. Then the interest of 8 percent was available on PF. You can check PF balance in many ways.

How to check your PF account amount
Through missed call, any account holder can know the balance of his PF account by making a missed call on EPFO’s helpline number 011-22901406 from his registered mobile.

To check your PF account balance through SMS, first you have to send EPFO UAN LAN to 7738299899 from your registered mobile number.
Here LAN means the language in which you want to check your balance.

Account holders can check PF account balance sitting at home by visiting the official website of EPFO.
Here you have to log in through UAN number and password.
After this you have to click on the option of ‘Passbook’ and you will be able to see the balance of your PF account on your screen.

Through this you can also know the balance of your PF account.
In the UMANG app, you have to click on the option of ‘EPFO’.
After this, you have to log in here through your UAN number and OTP.
