Railway Ticket in Post Office: Indian Railways has made a new ticketing arrangement to increase the convenience of the passengers. Now passengers do not have to go to the station or agent to book train tickets. Railways has taken this decision especially keeping in mind the rural areas. Railways has made arrangements for booking tickets in 45,000 post offices across the country.

Railway Minister announced

This was announced by Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav in Khajuraho recently. The Railway Minister had also told that now there will be no problem in taking train tickets. For this, railways has arranged ticketing in 45,000 post offices across the country, passengers can take tickets from here without any hassle. Along with this, while giving an update on the Vande Bharat train between Khajuraho and Delhi, the Railway Minister had said that the electrification work on this route would be completed by August. Till then Vande Bharat train will also start running. That is, it should be assumed that anytime after August, Madhya Pradesh can get the gift of Vande Bharat train, for which tickets can be booked from the post office itself.

Service started keeping in mind the rural areas

It is worth mentioning that keeping in mind the convenience of the people living far away from the station, the facility of making rail reservation in the post offices is being made available so that people do not have to wander for the rail reservation. The work of booking railway reservation in these post offices is done by the trained post office staff. Hardware with network connectivity has been provided by Railways. With this scheme, not only in the city, but also in rural areas, people will get the facility to make reservations for their trains from nearby post offices. Railway has requested the citizens to take advantage of the facility of railway reservation booking currently provided by the railways in the post offices.

New facility of e-ticketing also started

However, earlier, keeping in mind the convenience of the passengers, Indian Railways has also started a new facility of e-ticketing, freeing them from waiting and long queues. Under this, railway passengers will now be able to make digital payments for renewal of journey tickets, platform tickets and monthly passes at automatic ticket vending machines by scanning QR codes from UPI based mobile apps like Paytm, PhonePe, Freecharge. In this facility, passengers will also be able to pay through digital transactions for the facilities available from the Automatic Ticket Vending Machine. Passengers can also recharge ATVM smart card through this. By scanning the QR code, passengers can get the ticket by making digital payment through phone.

Apart from this, passengers can also use it to recharge AVTM smart card. After scanning it and making the payment, the passengers will get the ticket to their destination instantly. On the occasion of starting this facility on behalf of the Railways, appealed to the passengers to pay maximum in digital mode and get rid of long queues.
