announcements keeping in mind the interests of the employees of the state. Giving a big gift to the employees of the state in the budget, Ashok Gehlot announced to start the Old Pension Scheme again from next year.

The Chief Minister of Rajasthan said that all the employees who have been appointed in the state since January 1, 2004, all of them will get benefits under the old pension scheme.

In the year 2017, there was an announcement of reduction in salary for pension.

Apart from this, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has also announced to withdraw the old decision of deduction of salary for the pension of employees in the budget.

Let us inform that in the year 2017, the Rajasthan government had announced a cut in the salary for the pension of the employees, which the Chief Minister has announced to withdraw today. It is being told that due to this decision, there will be an additional burden of Rs 1000 crore on the Rajasthan government.

Benefits under old pension scheme

  • Under the old pension scheme in Rajasthan, employees get the facility of GPF.

  • Guaranteed pension of 50% of the last salary to the employee on retirement.
  • Under the old scheme, the government itself gives the entire pension to the employee.
  • On the retirement of the employee, gratuity for 16.5 months is given on the basis of the last salary.
  • Death gratuity of Rs 20 lakh and job to family member in case of death of the employee during service.
  • The facility of taking loan from Dearness Allowance and GPF is given twice a year.
  • No tax is levied on GPF withdrawal at the time of retirement.
  • Medical allowance and payment of medical bills are included after the retirement of the employee.
