Rice will reach ration shops soon
Officials say that rice is going to reach ration shops soon. After this the work of distribution of ration will be started. Ration could not be distributed in the month of July due to non-supply of rice. Due to the disturbances in the distribution system, a similar problem had come in June as well. Card holders are given two kg of wheat, three kg of rice, one kg of gram, one kg of salt and one liter of oil per unit. On the other hand, Antyodaya card holders are given three kg sugar at a concessional rate.

Ration card holders are forced to wait
, in fact, the Point of Sales Machine (PoS) is not allowing ration distribution due to non-allotment of rice at the ration shops. Due to this ration card holders are forced to wait. On getting information about the delay in the supply of rice, it was found that due to audit in the godown of Food Corporation of India, there is delay in reaching rice at the ration shops. It is expected that ration distribution will start soon after reaching the rice.
The news of surrendering the ration card is false and misleading.
Earlier in May, several media reports claimed that the Yogi government of UP has asked ineligible ration card holders to surrender the card. It was also said that the government would recover from those who did not surrender the ration card. This news spread rapidly among the beneficiaries and in many districts there were lines of people to surrender the ration card. The government later clarified that no order has been given on surrender or cancellation of the ration card.
Relief for those taking free ration
The Food Commissioner of the state denied the news going on in the media. At the same time, the government ordered that who gave such an order, it should be ascertained and action should be taken against him. After this latest order of the government, those people who were taking advantage of free ration on ration card have breathed a sigh of relief. On behalf of the State Food Commissioner, the news going on in different mediums was called misleading and false.
