New Delhi, Tech Desk. Instant messaging app keeps making changes in the days to improve the WhatsApp chatting experience. It has been discussed for a long time that there will be a big change in the group calling feature on WhatsApp soon. At the same time, the report revealed that the company has rolled out a new update for both its Android and iOS users. In this update, users will be able to add more than 4 members in video and audio calling.
WhatsApp has rolled out beta version 2.20.132 for Android and beta version 2.20.50.25 for iOS, as reported by WABetaInfo. Currently the new update has been rolled out on the beta version but soon the company will introduce its stable version.
According to the report, to use the latest beta version of WhatsApp, it is necessary to update WhatsApp. The new beta version will be seen only on the update version. The company is slowly rolling out this and in the coming time it will be available to all smartphone users with a stable version. In the latest update, users can add up to 8 members simultaneously in video calling, whereas earlier this limit was only 4 members.
This change in WhatsApp group calling will compete with video calling apps like Zoom and Google Duo. Because in these you can do group calling from more than 4 people simultaneously. Especially in this difficult time of lockdown, this feature is proving very useful. People are sitting at home and connecting with each other through video calling. By the way, 100 people can be connected simultaneously in video calling on the Zoom app. At the same time, the group calling limit in Google Duo has been increased from 8 to 12.
